The role of an Estimator is to ensure all project requirements, plans, and specifications are considered to prepare comprehensive cost estimates to perform the work.

At Lockerbie & Hole our Estimators are responsible for producing a complete and accurate cost for the company to undertake a project.

Our Estimators develop bidding strategies, review all plans and specifications to conform to all codes and identify risks, provide pricing entries, extensions, and checking and closing estimates, ensure the estimated costs can be achieved or improved, and maintain active communication with all clients and project staff to produce a successful project.

Estimating skills and abilities:

Building materials knowledge
Blueprint reading knowledge
Understanding building design progress
Interpersonal and communication skills
Computer skills (MS Office, Accubid)
Quantity take off skills
Exposure to commercial and/or industrial construction
